Buderim Village Park

If it’s views you are seeking, then you can’t go past Buderim Village Park. Offering magnificent panoramic views of the Coastline and Pacific Ocean, this well-maintained park is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a picnic. The grassy area provides lots of room for the little ones to run around, so it’s perfect for families. Bordered by ferny gardens, it offers plenty of shade and the  new sheltered picnic areas, complete with lighting, are perfect for those balmy Summer evening gatherings.

Buderim Forest Park (Serenity Falls)

How’s the serenity? Set amid 45 hectares in the Buderim Forest Park, it’s no secret this is one of the Sunshine Coast’s most beautiful natural gems and the best spot to enjoy a picnic. From the tranquil waterfall and rock pools to the sub-tropical rainforest, it offers the quintessential spot to throw down a rug and spend the day enjoying this natural wonderland. Well known for its insta-worthy backdrop, it is a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.

Mooloolaba Spit Park

Located at the far eastern end of Parkyn Parade, you will find this natural parkland overlooking the beautiful Mooloolaba River. It is hard to find a better spot to picnic in Mooloolaba, with plenty of room for the kids to play as well as pathways to enjoy a lazy walk or bike ride. It is also the perfect spot for a romantic picnic for two. For spectacular views of Mooloolaba and northern Coastline, take a stroll to the end of the famous rock wall.

Noosa Spit Park

Set along the Noosa River, the Noosa Spit is picnic spot of choice for the locals and it’s not hard to see why. Soak up the sparkling river views, watch the riverboats go by and take in the relaxing sounds of the local birdlife at this serene location. The kids will love it and you can bring the pooch too. To find the spit, head west on Hastings Street towards Noosa Sound until you reach Claude Batten Drive.
