For a picnic, you can brew the tea in advance. For a refreshing Spring difference, why not try a cold-brew tea? It’s elegant, and surprisingly easy.

1. Brew and store your tea in a glass container – Plastic can stain and taint the tea with retained odours.
2. Prepare your tea the day before your picnic.
3. Black, Oolong, herbal and fruit teas should be brewed for 12 hours but check brewing instructions for green tea as it can taste bitter if brewed incorrectly.
4. Use an infuser to cold-brew your tea to avoid having to strain it later.
5. Ice is optional but might be a good idea in hot weather to keep your tea cold longer.
